Médecin et marrane espagnol, qui se déclara ouvertement juif à Amsterdam vers 1640 ; versé en astronomie, en médecine et en botanique, il connaissait l'arabe et le syriaque, et Manassé ben Israël lui dédia son essai « De la Fragilidad Humana ». Il est l'auteur d'un almanach, le « Prognostico e Lunario de Anno de 1635 », paru à Séville en 1630.
