L'un des Beni Israël de Bombay, sous-officier de haut rang (subedar-major) dans l'armée indienne britannique, mort le 14 février 1878 et enterré avec les honneurs militaires sur ordre spécial, il portait le grade de sirdar bahadur du douzième régiment d'infanterie indigène et s'était distingué pendant la révolte des Cipayes.
