Juriste et économiste hongrois, né à Szeged, en Hongrie, en 1854, il étudia le droit à Vienne et à Budapest et devint une autorité sur la question monétaire. Ses ouvrages « Die Vorgeschichte und Finanziellen Folgen der Nordamerikanischen Valuta-Frage » (Budapest, 1890) et « Die Börsen-Steuer » (Budapest, 1895) furent couronnés par l'Académie royale hongroise des sciences.
