Cabaliste ayant vécu à Kremnitz, en Hongrie, au début du dix-septième siècle, il voyagea semble-t-il en Orient et séjourna à Safed, dont il évoque souvent l'école cabalistique dans ses écrits. Il est l'auteur, notamment, du « Pitḥe Yah », introduction à la Cabale fondée sur le « Pardes Rimonim » de Cordovero (Prague, 1609), du « Yesh Sakar », sur les lois rituelles du Zohar (Prague, 1609), et du « Meḳor Ḥokmah », explications des passages difficiles du Zohar (Prague, 1610).
