Rabbin allemand, né à Leipnik, en Moravie, en 1639 et mort à Worms le 1er janvier 1702, il fut nommé rabbin de Coblence en 1666, ne fut pas réélu en 1669 — la charge devant se renouveler tous les trois ans —, puis revint à Worms comme simple membre de la communauté, où il enseigna le Talmud sans obtenir la succession de son père, confiée à Aaron Teomim Fränkel. Il rédigea, sous le titre « 'Eẓ Ḥayyim » (L'Arbre de vie), un compendium de la religion juive en trois parties, et publia en 1679 un recueil de responsa de son père, de son grand-père et de lui-même, le « Ḥuṭ ha-Shani ».
