Rabbin d'Alger, mort à Blida, en Algérie, en janvier 1794, il assista dès son jeune âge son père dans ses fonctions de rabbin d'Alger, auquel il succéda à sa mort. Il publia, précédé d'une préface du bibliographe Azoulaï, un recueil de sermons pour toutes les fêtes intitulé « Yamim Aḥadim », paru à Livourne en 1790, et signa en 1791 l'une des approbations jointes à l'ouvrage « Berit Abraham » d'Abraham ben Raphaël Jacob Bush'arah.
