Dirigeant des Juifs yéménites en Eretz Israël, fondateur de l'Association des Yéménites (colonisation, éducation, encouragement de l'aliyah). Délégué au congrès fondateur de la Histadrout (1920), élu à la première Knesset (Mapaï, 1949). Il publia de nombreux articles et deux livres : Golat Teiman (1931) et Shavei Teiman (1932).
