Commentateur cabaliste de la Bible, actif au XVIIe siècle. Son père David meurt en martyr lors des persécutions contre les juifs en Pologne, et lui-même échappe de justesse au même sort, d'abord à Lublin le 16 octobre 1655, puis à Reisen, près de Lissa. Il est l'auteur du « Ḥessed Chémo El » (Miséricorde, son nom est Dieu), publié à Amsterdam en 1699, explications midrashiques et cabalistiques de la Genèse dépourvues, il faut le dire, de toute valeur ; en revanche, les nombreuses références éparses aux persécutions des juifs de Pologne durant les années 1648 et 1655 en font, aux yeux de l'historien, un témoignage oculaire d'un grand intérêt.
