Ashkenazi, Meshullam Zalman

Rabbin et lettré polonais, né dans la seconde moitié du XVIIIe siècle, mort à Lublin le 1er mai 1843, fils du rabbin Meshoulam Zalman de Pomarin — de la famille Orenstein, dont son frère Mordekhaï Tsevi de Lemberg porte aussi le nom — et petit-fils du Ḥakham Tsevi. Il exerce le rabbinat à Kazimierz et à Naselsk, puis à Lublin à partir de 1826 jusqu'à sa mort. Il écrit des gloses sur la Mishna, publiées dans l'édition de Wilna en 1869.
