Ashkenazi, Eliezer B. Solomon

History register · custodian, not owner

Érudit rabbinique, né en Pologne au début du XIXe siècle, établi ensuite en Tunisie. Il publie à Metz, en 1845, sous le titre « Divré Ḥakhamim » (Les Paroles des sages), un recueil de onze manuscrits anciens portant sur des sujets aussi variés que le calcul du calendrier, le libre arbitre ou l'étude des sciences, dont une lettre d'Élie d'Italie écrite en 1438 depuis la Palestine à sa famille de Ferrare ; S. Munk en rédige l'introduction. Il publie aussi le « Ta'am Zekénim » (La Saveur des anciens), recueil de manuscrits et imprimés anciens sur la littérature et l'histoire juives médiévales, édité par R. Kirchheim (Francfort-sur-le-Main, 1854).
