Médecin et poète liturgique, actif à Camerino, en Italie, peut-être originaire d'Ascoli, dans la seconde moitié du XVe siècle. Deux de ses « reshouyot » pour le Nishmat sont imprimées dans le Maḥzor de rite romaniote — l'une pour le jour du Grand Pardon, l'autre pour la fête des Tabernacles, invoquant le Rédempteur qui étend une tente de paix sur le peuple élu entre tous les peuples. En signant ces poèmes, Ascoli ajoute à son nom un mot qui semble faire écho à un verset des Psaumes appelant la miséricorde divine.
