Écrivain hongrois, né à Trencsén le 13 mai 1858. Diplômé de l'université de Budapest, il est envoyé se perfectionner à Paris par le secrétaire d'État à l'instruction publique, puis revient à Budapest en 1884, où il dirige la « Gazette de Hongrie » jusqu'en 1887. Il traduit plusieurs ouvrages économiques du hongrois en français et siège comme député à la Diète hongroise jusqu'en 1901. Son nom de famille allemand est Aufrecht.
