Hébraïsant, né à Carpentras vers 1578, mort à Paris en 1650. Converti au christianisme à Aquino, où il troque son nom de Mardochée pour celui de Philippe d'Aquin, il s'installe à Paris en 1610 et y devient, sous Louis XIII, professeur de langue hébraïque ; il figure en 1617 parmi les accusateurs du procès pour « crime de judaïsme » intenté à Concini, marquis d'Ancre. Auteur prolifique, il publie une grammaire hébraïque et une édition bilingue des Pirké Avot (Paris, 1620), ainsi qu'un dictionnaire hébreu-chaldéen-talmudique et une traduction du « Beḥinat 'Olam » de Yedaya Bédersi (Paris, 1629).
