Antipape face à Innocent II, de 1130 à 1138. D'ascendance juive — ce qui vaut à Voltaire de le surnommer ironiquement « le pape juif » —, il descend d'un ancêtre converti au christianisme sous le nom de Benoît, enrichi au XIe siècle en prêtant de l'argent aux deux camps de la lutte entre papes et noblesse romaine. Nommé vers la fin de 1123 à la tête de la légation pontificale en France par Calixte II, Pierleoni est élu pape sous le nom d'Anaclet II en 1130 par une faction romaine, tandis qu'une autre élit Innocent II ; il conserve jusqu'au bout l'autorité sur Rome, en butte aux calomnies visant son origine juive.
