Cabaliste né à Constantinople, actif en Italie dans la seconde moitié du XVe siècle, où il devient le maître de Pic de la Mirandole en hébreu et en Kabbale, contribuant ainsi à diffuser la mystique juive parmi les humanistes chrétiens. Son œuvre principale, le « Ḥeshek Shelomoh » (Le Désir de Salomon), s'ouvre sur un discours plaçant le roi Salomon au-dessus de Platon par ses talents artistiques et intellectuels ; des extraits de cette introduction furent publiés, avec des ajouts de Jacob Baruch ben Moïse Ḥayyim, à Livourne en 1790. Il est aussi l'auteur de « 'Ené ha-'Edah », commentaire cabalistique de la Torah, et de « Ḥayyé 'Olam », traité sur l'immortalité.
