Contemporain de Moïse Benveniste, actif à Constantinople vers le milieu du XVIIe siècle. Il rédige un commentaire sur le « Sefer ha-Miṣwot » de Maïmonide, où il le défend contre les attaques de Naḥmanide, publié à Constantinople en 1652 sous le titre « Lev Sameaḥ » (Un cœur joyeux), jeu de mots sur son propre nom, Allegri. Sous le même titre paraissent à Salonique, en 1793, plusieurs de ses responsa.
