Un écrivain rabbinique qui fleurit à Smyrne au dix-septième siècle. Il était le frère de Solomon Algazi l'aîné, et écrivit des annotations à « Dobeb Sifte Yeshenim » (Smyrne, 1671) et « Sefat Emet », deux ouvrages rabbiniques de son grand-père, Moses Benveniste l'aîné. Ce dernier est une œuvre sur les étymologies hébraïques publiée conjointement avec un poème d'Isaac Tshelebi sur les mots hébreux commençant par ש. Selon Zedner, « Cat. Hebr. Books Brit. Mus », p. 766, il a été publié à Constantinople en 1799 ; mais selon Benjacob, « Oẓar ha-Sefarim », p. 592, il a été publié là en 1722-23 et 1807.
