Écrivain théologien du XVIIe siècle, converti au christianisme à Rouen le 21 avril 1621. Il rédige alors une lettre ouverte, en syriaque rabbinique, exposant les raisons de son abandon du judaïsme et appelant ses anciens coreligionnaires à l'imiter ; traduite en plusieurs langues européennes, elle connaît deux éditions anglaises, à Londres, en 1688 et 1703.
