Riche notable juif de Francfort établi à Worms, il racheta en 1307 la dépouille du grand décisionnaire Meir de Rothenburg (mort en captivité en 1293), donnant pour cela l'ensemble de ses biens. Il demanda pour seule contrepartie d'être inhumé à côté du Maharam ; il mourut peu après et les deux stèles se dressent côte à côte dans l'ancien cimetière juif de Worms.
