Érudit influent de Hongrie et de Bohême dans la seconde moitié du XVe siècle, mort à Prague en 1496. Titré « Nassi » pour son savoir, sa fortune et sa bienfaisance, il occupe une position influente vers 1480 à la cour du roi Mathias de Hongrie, avant d'être chassé par la jalousie des nobles ; réfugié à Prague, il y fonde un collège talmudique où il enseigne lui-même, tout en survivant à plusieurs tentatives sur sa vie.
