Talmudiste et auteur cabalistique, fils de Joseph Hanoks, contraint par l'expulsion des Juifs de Vienne en 1670 de s'installer en Bavière, où il enseigne de ville en ville avant de devenir rabbin à Zeckendorf. Il publie en 1688, à Wilmersdorf, son commentaire cabalistique des prières quotidiennes « 'Abodat ha-Boreh », réédité à Berlin en 1700 puis, augmenté, à Sulzbach en 1707 ; il est aussi l'auteur d'une histoire haggadique des patriarches, « Abir Ya'aḳob » (Sulzbach, 1700).
