Mathématicien et médecin actif à Arles dans la seconde moitié du quatorzième siècle. Selon Nostradamus, excellent mathématicien versé en arabe, en grec et en latin, il fut nommé médecin de Jeanne d'Anjou, reine de Naples, en 1369, logé au palais royal et exempté, pour lui-même et sa descendance, des taxes spéciales pesant sur les Juifs. Il se serait aussi adonné à l'astrologie, au point d'avoir prédit la fin tragique de la reine.
