Quatrième dirigeant de la dynastie hassidique de Karlin-Stolin, connu comme le « Beit Aharon » d'après son ouvrage. Ses enseignements, homélies et lettres, ainsi que ceux de ses ancêtres, forment le livre fondateur du hassidisme karliner. La cour, d'abord à Karlin (faubourg de Pinsk), s'établit ensuite à Stolin, d'où l'appellation « Stoliner ».
