אהרן הסבעוני

Region: Salé / Maroc

History register · custodian, not owner

Leading Moroccan kabbalist, disciple of Rabbi Isaac Eturqui of Salé. His glosses/annotations accompany the original edition of "Hekhal ha-Kodesh" by Rabbi Moshe Elbaz, in the spirit of the kabbalah of the Ari (R. Isaac Louria). He counted, with Yaʿakov Sasportas, among the Moroccan figures in the struggle against Sabbateanism.

The days of this book

This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Aharon ha-Sibʿoni (ha-Siboni) give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.

You know a date — a remembrance, a hilloula, the anniversary of a departure? Give it its day
