Polyhistoire karaïte né à Andrinople avant 1430, il vécut quelque temps à Belgrade et mourut vers 1499 à Constantinople. Élève de Mordecai Comtino à Andrinople, il poursuivit, à partir de 1490, l'« Adderet Eliyahou », traité de droit karaïte laissé inachevé par son maître Elie Bashyatzi, et composa notamment un index du « Eṣ ha-Ḥayyim » d'Aaron ben Elie (1497) et son œuvre principale, le « Gan ha-Melekh », recueil de poèmes achevé en 1495.
