Prédicateur (darshan) de Lemberg dans la première moitié du XVIIe siècle, il publia plusieurs ouvrages homilétiques : le « Ben Da'at » (Hanau, 1616), cent cinquante discours sur les Psaumes, le « Derush 'al 'Aseret ha-Dibberot » (Hanau, 1616), homélies sur le Décalogue, et l'« 'Abodat ha-Levi » (Cracovie, entre 1632 et 1648), sermons sur la Genèse — fragment d'un ouvrage plus vaste, resté inédit, qui devait couvrir tout le Pentateuque. Un commentaire homilétique sur les Proverbes, mentionné par lui-même et confirmé par Aharon Samuel, rabbin de Fulda, ne nous est pas parvenu.
