Médecin allemand né à Dantzig en 1740 et mort dans cette même ville en 1800, il étudia la médecine à Königsberg et exerça à partir de 1775 à Hasenpoth, en Courlande, avant de revenir dans sa ville natale peu avant sa mort. Il publia à Königsberg, en 1785, ses « Betrachtungen eines Arztes am Krankenbette seines Patienten ».
