Rabbinical author 'Turkish' established in Sarajevo at the end of the eighteenth century, student of David Pardo (whose daughter he married). He also edited the glosses of H. J. D. Azoulaï on the Shulchan Arukh (Mishpat Katouv, 1798).

Auteur rabbinique turc ; a vécu à Sarajevo, Bosnie, à la fin du dix-huitième siècle ; disciple de David Pardo. Penso fut l'auteur de « Appe Zuṭre » (Salonique, 1798), un ouvrage sur les lois pascales, et de « Tola'at Shani » (_ib._ 1805), un recueil d'homélies. Il édita les notes de Ḥayyim. J. D. Azulai sur le Shulḥan 'Aruk, Mishpaṭ Katub (_ib._ 1798).
