Abraham Malak, Ou Ha-malak

Rabbin russe, fils unique de Dov Baer de Mezeritch, premier chef des Hassidim d'Ukraine méridionale, disciple du Baal Chem Tov et gendre de Mechoulam Phoebus de Kremenets ; il mourut relativement jeune à Fastov, village du gouvernement de Kiev, vers 1780. De tempérament réservé, il ne succéda pas à son père et se retira comme ermite à Hannipol avant de devenir prédicateur à Fastov. Son commentaire sur le Pentateuque, « Ḥessed le-Abraham », fut publié après sa mort (Czernowitz, 1851 ; Varsovie, 1883).
