Exilé d'Espagne établi en Palestine, auteur et cabaliste du début du seizième siècle, beau-frère d'Abraham Zacuto, auteur du « Youḥassin ». Chassé d'Espagne en 1492, il vécut brièvement en Égypte et à Constantinople avant de se rendre à Jérusalem puis à Safed, où il étudia la Cabale et devint une autorité rabbinique reconnue. Il rédigea un commentaire sur le « Neviout ha-Yéled », publié en 1516, ainsi que le « Machré Kitrin » (Constantinople, 1510), sur la prophétie de Daniel, où il annonçait 1530 comme l'année de la rédemption.
