Hakham karaïte né à Loutsk, mort à Çufut Qale. Il mena en Crimée, au Caucase et au Proche-Orient des expéditions qui rassemblèrent des milliers de manuscrits hébreux, karaïtes et samaritains. Sa première collection (plus de 1 000 pièces) fut vendue à la Bibliothèque impériale de Saint-Pétersbourg (1862/1870), sa seconde (plus de 15 000 items) après sa mort. Ces collections Firkovich fondent la recherche karaïte moderne.
