Commentateur talmudique établi à Niort, en France, dans la seconde moitié du quatorzième siècle. Isaac de Lattes le mentionne comme érudit notable et commentateur du Talmud dans sa chronique « Chaaré Tsion ». Le nom de sa ville natale, diversement orthographié dans la littérature hébraïque, a été identifié par Gross à Niort, le Niortium latin.
