Auteur du guide éthique et spirituel Kifayat al-Abidin (Hamaspik le-Ovdei Hashem), il défendit l'œuvre de son père et rendit de nombreux responsa aux communautés d'Égypte, de Palestine, de Syrie et du Yémen.
