Prédicateur (darshan) polonais des dix-septième et dix-huitième siècles, arrière-petit-fils d'Issachar Baer, surnommé Baerman Ashkenazi, commentateur des Rabbot. À Amsterdam, en 1673, il édita l'ouvrage de son grand-père, « Maré Cohen », en y ajoutant une introduction. Devenu aveugle par la suite, il publia quarante ans plus tard, alors âgé, son propre ouvrage, « Ori vé-Yichi » (Berlin, 1714), recueil de sermons sur la repentance, la prière et la charité.
