Talmudiste polonais de la première moitié du dix-septième siècle, mort à Brest, en Lituanie, en 1642. Rabbin à Tarnopol en 1636, il fut appelé la même année au rabbinat de Brest, alors la plus grande communauté de Pologne, où il demeura jusqu'à sa mort. Les grands rabbins de son temps — Joël Sirkès, Meïr Kohen-Tsedek et Rabbi Heschel de Cracovie — le traitent dans leurs écrits avec le plus grand respect. Il laissa des scholies sur le « Ṭour Oraḥ Ḥayyim », annexées à l'œuvre de son père Benjamin Aaron, mort en 1620, lui-même auteur du « Massat Binyamin ».
