Marrane de Séville actif au quinzième siècle, il fut l'un de ceux qui s'opposèrent avec le plus de zèle à l'introduction de l'Inquisition à Séville en 1480, ce qui lui coûta la vie sur le bûcher. Homme savant, il exerça pendant plusieurs années la charge d'alcalde de justicia (juge criminel) et fut fermier des taxes royales.
