Rabbin actif à Prouzhany, Rouchony, Vilkovichki et Selva, en Lituanie et en Pologne, de 1719 à 1768. Vers la fin de sa vie, il s'installa à Vilna, où son fils Samuel exerçait aussi le rabbinat ; il y mourut en 1771. Ses responsa figurent dans le recueil de Saül ben Moïse de Lomza.
