Rabbin à Rome en 1543 et membre du conseil d'administration de la communauté (intendant du ghetto) jusqu'en 1564. En 1558, il se porta garant avec d'autres notables juifs de Rome du remboursement à Elijah Corcos des 1 000 scudi que celui-ci avait versés aux autorités pontificales, amende infligée à la communauté juive pour n'avoir pas brûlé certains livres hébreux.
