Poète, auteur du piyyuṭ « Et Sha'are Raẓon » et premier Juif connu sous le nom d'Abbas ; de nom arabe Abu al-Baga ibn Abbas al-Maghribi, il mourut à Mossoul en 1163. Selon Al-Ḥarizi, il quitta le Maghreb pour l'Orient, vivant tantôt à Bagdad, tantôt à Alep ; on le dit ami de Judah ha-Levi, dont le recueil du « Diwan » a conservé un de ses poèmes ayant suscité une réponse.
