Un des rares auteurs cabalistiques de l'époque récente en Prusse-Orientale, auteur du « Nishmat Shelomoh Mordecai » (Johannisberg, 1852), ainsi nommé en mémoire de son fils mort en bas âge. Présenté sur la page de titre comme un commentaire du « Ḥoḳer u-Meḳubbal » de M. Ḥ. Luzzatto, l'ouvrage commente en réalité le « 'Eẓ Ḥayyim » de Ḥayyim Vital ; il déclare avoir également écrit un commentaire du Midrash Tanḥuma, « Zebed Ṭob », resté inédit.
