Talmudiste espagnol de la fin du XIIIe siècle, auteur du « Sefer ha-Ḥinnuk » (Livre de l'éducation), ouvrage anonyme longtemps attribué à Aaron ben Joseph ha-Levi et considéré comme le premier livre d'instruction religieuse juif du Moyen Âge. Instructeur de la jeunesse de condition modeste, il y énumère les six cent treize commandements de la Loi mosaïque selon l'ordre des lectures hebdomadaires, en insistant sur leur portée éthique et en s'appuyant sur Alfasi, Maïmonide et Naḥmanide.
