Exégète anglais, cité dans le « Minḥat Yehudah » de Judah ben Eliezer aux côtés de Rashi et de R. Jacob d'Orléans, ce qui le situerait au XIIe siècle. Un acte du Close Roll de 1242, confiant la décision d'une affaire de divorce à trois « magistri » dont Aaron de Canterbury, rend probable qu'il vécut au XIIIe siècle et fut dayyan à Londres vers 1242, sous le nom d'Aaron fil Samson.
