Rabbin hassidique né en 1738 et mort en 1771, connu parmi les Ḥasidim comme Rabbi Aaron le Grand, le « Prédicateur » ou le « Censeur ». Disciple de Rabbi Baer de Mezhirich, il contribua à la diffusion rapide du hassidisme en Europe orientale par l'éloquence enflammée de ses exhortations et composa un hymne du sabbat toujours en usage dans la liturgie hassidique.
