Savant sicilien de Catane, cabaliste et astrologue actif entre 1400 et 1450, formé à Trévise, gendre de Don Moïse Gabbaï et le plus jeune de cinq frères tous érudits rabbiniques. Voyageur en Turquie, Égypte, Palestine, à Damas et à Kaffa, il disputa avec les Karaïtes à Jérusalem et fut reçu à Rome par le pape Martin V, qui l'interrogea sur des passages bibliques et talmudiques ; auteur du « Maṭṭeh Aharon », en défense de la Loi et de la tradition, et d'un commentaire sur le Pentateuque d'orientation rationaliste.
