Yakoub (Yaacov) Bchiri, né le 12 novembre 1912, fut une figure majeure de la musique judéo-tunisienne de Djerba : il animait mariages, fêtes et le pèlerinage de la Ghriba, notamment par les chants de la « Taâlila ». Décédé le 3 décembre 2008. Ses enregistrements (Houmt Souk, juin 2000) ont été publiés sur CD par les Archives internationales de musique populaire / Musée d'ethnographie de Genève (2001), avec un livret bilingue français/anglais.
