Né le 28 décembre 1905 à Varsovie. Écrivain humoriste yiddish, il débuta dans la revue satirique Der takhshet et collabora à Sambatyon, Tararam, Der mashkhes ; il publia sa propre revue humoristique Der shtifer et dirigea le théâtre de marionnettes Khad-gadye à Varsovie (1934-1935). Émigré, il publia plusieurs recueils d'humour à Buenos Aires puis New York. Mort à Brooklyn en 1967.
