Emil Lederer

Austrian-Jewish economist and sociologist born to a Jewish merchant family in Plzeň, Bohemia; purged from his post in 1933 for being Jewish, he became first dean of the Graduate Faculty of Political and Social Science ("University in Exile") at the New School in New York.
