Centre fondé en 1972 par David Patterson pour restaurer les études juives en Europe après la Shoah, longtemps installé à Yarnton Manor près d'Oxford. Intégré à l'université d'Oxford, il associe recherche et enseignement en hébreu et études juives et publie le Journal of Jewish Studies. C'est l'un des principaux pôles européens de la discipline.
