Shefar'am (Shfa-Amr), bourgade mixte de Galilée, comptait une petite communauté juive du vieux yishouv aux XVIIe–XVIIIe siècles, attestée par des sources ottomanes. C'est également à Shefar'am que siégea le Sanhédrin après son déplacement de Tibériade au IIIe siècle, selon des sources talmudiques.
