The Tur (Arba'ah Turim) of Yaakov ben Asher

The Arba'ah Turim ("Four Rows"), written by Rabbi Yaakov ben Asher in Spain in the early fourteenth century, are a major halakhic code structured in four parts. The work, which deals only with laws in effect after the destruction of the Temple, presents sources and divergent opinions before deciding. Its quadripartite structure served as a model for the Shulhan Arukh.
